THE CIRCULAR KNOTS

The knots that form a circular shape enclosing the shield and caption of Barangay Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, symbolize the unity and oneness of the people of Barangay Tuliao. It represents the unified goal, dreams and aspiration of every residents of Tuliao to become part of a progressive and peaceful community centered on faith and driven by the desire to contribute one’s talents and skills

THE SHIELD

The shield symbolizes the duty of the Sangguniang Barangay to promote the general welfare of the people of Tuliao through efficient and effective legislation by the passage of ordinances, policies and resolutions which will protect and advance the rights of every residents of Tuliao. The Sangguniang Barangay as a collegial body is committed to protect the people’s welfare.

THE BARANGAY HALL

The representation of the Tuliao Barangay Hall also found inside the shield symbolizes the commitment of the Sangguniang Barangay to the people of Tuliao; it represents leadership integrity, and refuge for its people.

THE I LOVE TULIAO MAKER

The marker represents the love and affection of every resident to their barangay. They are deeply honored and proud and they embody the belongingness in this barangay.

THE NINE RAYS

The nine rays behind the barangay hall symbolize the nine zones of the barangay. These nine rays serve as the power of the barangay for it represents the people and the light it gives to the entire barangay towards the attainment and realization of its mission and vision.

THE RICE FIELD, ANIMALS AND HOLLOW BLOCKS

The rice field and its production, animals and hollow blocks literally symbolize the source of income of the residents of the barangay. Rice production is the major source of economy of this barangay. Most of the residents rely on rice farming as a means of their source of income. The domestic animals such as goats is also a means of livelihood among the residents because some of them raise, buy and sell these animals and profit from it, and The hollow blocks making is one of the established businesses in Tuliao. Some of the residents of this barangay make earnings through hollow blocks making.

About Tuliao

Tuliao is a barangay in the municipality of Santa Barbara, in the province of Pangasinan. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 6,424. This represented 6.97% of the total population of Santa Barbara. The area is known for its friendly residents and communal spirit, often hosting local festivals and events that celebrate their culture and traditions.
